Sean Price, Principal
With an offer for a full-time teaching position, Sean packed up and left Kingston, Ontario for northern Alberta. In the 17 years he has lived in the region, Sean has had the opportunity to teach a little bit of everything – from elementary grades to junior and senior high classes. Last year Sean joined the AHLC team as Principal and continues in the role this school year.
Sean’s favorite thing in all of the years he has lived in the north is the sense of community among the people that call this region home.
“I am most looking forward to working closely with the students and staff to make this year as successful as possible.”
Anna McAskile, Assistant Principal/Inclusive Education Coordinator
After a childhood spent on a southern Alberta farm near Champion, Anna moved to High Level with her husband in October 1988. She started with FVSD as a temporary employee, covering a maternity leave for a Grade 6 class at HLPS, and has since become an integral part of education in the north. Anna also taught various grades at both FMCS and SNCS prior to becoming Assistant Principal at SNCS, she later moved to HLPS as Assistant Principal then Principal. Anna currently holds two roles at AHLC as the Assistant Principal and Inclusive Education Coordinator.
The unique people and communities in our region hold a special place for Anna and are one her favorite things about the north.
“I am looking forward to continue to develop the success of online learning within the Fort Vermilion School Division and working together with other outreach programs to bring education to as many students as possible.”
